The holidays are a great time for kids to practice their coding skills and apply them to some fun activities with family. Below are some holiday-themed activities for the budding coder(s) in your family.

Holiday Algorithms

Blimey Box – This website includes printable activity sheets that require students to find the correct algorithms to move holiday characters around a game board.

Binary Ornaments

Coding STEM Challenge – Learn the binary alphabet while creating a holiday ornament.

Santa Tracker

Google Santa Tracker – In addition to to tracking Santa, students can complete holiday coding activities and learn about holiday traditions around the world.

Code With Anna and Elsa

Anna and Elsa From Code.org – Learn to code with Anna and Elsa while creating snowflakes, exploring patterns, and more.

Holiday Card

Interactive Holiday Card – Use Scratch to create and code an interactive holiday card to send to friends and family.
